Anyone free in August?

With a couple grand to spare? I'm going to a conference in New Zealand and am trying to convince someone that they want to travel there with me to do some sight-seeing. :) Unfortunately, the flights are $$$ so I feel bad asking anyone, especially since it's winter there. This is when it'd be nice to be in a relationship! Or know someone who also got a paper in. I'm going to a conference next week, so I might find someone else who'll be going and wants to do some sight-seeing.

I'm planning on seeing Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin, and am debating doing a 3-way flight to see Sydney as well.
