I got a friend request on Facebook from the guy who broke up with me in college by lying to me and then telling our mutual friends more lies about me. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?! Does he think I'm retarded or an amnesiac? Because clearly there's no other explanation.

A few weeks ago I finished my academic application materials and started applying places. And I've gotten my first rejection. It kind of sucks, but I wasn't super-excited about the school anyway, so it's not too bad. And it's nice that they actually said thanks but no thanks. If I don't get any interviews I think I'll be sad, though it would give me a good excuse to beg for a job with the one company that does research in my area where my family lives. :) One university in the town is hiring, but it is out of my league.

In other news, how the hell is November halfway over?
